The American Revolution was between the British, the ones who supported the government and the ones who apposed it because they believed that they shouldnt have to pay a tax without getting representation. French reanforcments.So there were battles then the people got their America.

I think you guys did a great job on the summary because that was pretty much the only reason the french revolution started, the poor were tired of the way they were being treated and were so hungry that they had no other choice.

Storming of the bastille 9/23/10:

Before reading the story of the Storming of the Bastille i thought it was just an act of violence, for no important reason, but after reading it I discovered it was more of a revolution, the people fighting against the absolute power of Luois XVI. The main difference is that they had a reason to fight, they werent just crazy people fighting for their own enjoyment.

Congress of Vienna Summary:

The congress of Vienna was an "international conference" held from September 1814 until June 1815. This conference was held after Napoleons fall in order to remake Europe. The intention of the conference was to make a balance of power, and perserve the peace. It was held in Vienna, Austria. After this conference the peace in Europe was held for 40 years.

What happened to all the land?
  • France was deprived of all territory conquered by Napoleon
  • The Dutch Republic was united with the Austrian Netherlands to form a single kingdom of the Netherlands under the House of Orange.
  • Norway and Sweden were joined under a single ruler
  • Switzerland was declared neutral
  • Russia got Finland and effective control over the new kingdom of Poland
  • Prussia was given much of Saxony and important parts of Westphalia and the Rhine Province.
  • Austria was given back most of the territory it had lost and was also given land in Germany and Italy (Lombardia and Venice)
  • Britain got several strategic colonial territories, and they also gained control of the seas.
  • France was restored under the rule of Louis XVIII.
  • Spain was restored under Ferdinand VII
